Dr. Astha Dewan has been working as an Assistant Professor in Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi. She is also a faculty member in Post Graduate Diploma in Global Business (GBO) programme, SRCC, DU. She acted as a visiting faculty in the Department of Commerce, University of Delhi. She started her teaching career from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, a premier institute of University of Delhi. A research scholar and a pass out from Delhi School of Economics, she has been the topper throughout her academic career. She is M.Com (Goldmedalist) and Delhi University topper. She received various awards & scholarships such as Jai Narain Vaish prize, Mrs. Munan Kapoor Scholarship, Lala Saligram prize, Minoo prize. She has published many research articles in different journals of national and international repute such as Chartered Secretary, ICFAI’s Professional Banker, Business Analyst, DU Journal of Undergraduate Research and Innovation, Journal of Business Studies. She has presented papers in the international and national conferences at IIT, Mumbai; FMS, Banaras Hindu University; School of Management, KIIT University, Odisha; National Convention of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and various colleges of University of Delhi. She has been awarded best research paper award by various institutes such as KIIT, University Odisha; Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Commerce, DU. She has been invited to present her research work by different universities world over such as Adelphi University, Manhattan Campus, New York, USA; Hong Kong Shue Yan University, Hong Kong; Assumption University of Thailand, Thailand; Peradeniya University, Sri Lanka, to name a few. The Institute of Company Secretaries, first time in its history, published her work on ‘Segment-wise Role of Company Secretaries: A Study’ in the form of a book, which was released by Hon'ble President and then Finance Minister of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
