Events and Activities
The Fine Arts Society (FAS) organises cultural activities and online competitions like ‘Food Photography Competition’ and ‘Dubsmash’ to promote different forms of art namely, music, dance, sketching, painting etc.
Halloween Escapade
On October 31, 2015, FAS hosted a special event amidst the scary and the spooky atmosphere of Halloween. The Balloon Dance proved to be a perfect treat in the midst of lanterns hung in the Co-op area. The boisterous Flash Mob stages by FAS members and the Photo Booth with amazing masks for all made this Halloween memorable.
Artisia’16
The annual fest, ARTISIA, was celebrated from February 15-17, 2016. The theme was Disney World. The first day was full of various competitions like DU Idol, Face Painting Competition, Momo Eating and Hunt for the Perfect Jodi. As an icing on the cake, the first day ended with a highly celebrated DJ Night by DJ Harsh Bhutani and DJ Mer’c (HM Production).
The second day kicked off with Make A Difference (MAD), a social initiative started by FAS. Volunteers went to an orphanage, engaged with the kids and inculcated skills of music, art and dance in them. Radio Jockey Naved famous for ‘Mirchi Murga’ came to cheer the kids. This was followed by various other competitions like 100 Seconds to Fame, Burn the Dance Floor and many other fun events.
The third day started off with Bartender to express the mocktale making skills of the students. This was followed by power packed performances by dance teams of various colleges under the event ‘Step Up’. The day wrapped up with a performance by THE LOCAL TRAIN, best band of 2015.
